Azmaya are experts at selecting the right materials to use in their range of contemporary homewares. These handcrafted 'hiradon' bowls are made from locally sourced clay from the Iga region of Japan. With the outstanding heat-retention properties of the iga clay, they are perfect for use as donburi rice bowls or for soups.
Each bowl is individually handcrafted and shaped on a potters wheel. You can appreciate the subtle differences in shape and texture, as the foot of the bowl remains unglazed.
